Signs in Thai

Most traffic signs in Thailand are in English, but you also find signs or road markings that are in Thai only. Here are a few examples.


Stop (road marking)

Drive slowly (road marking)

Children – Be careful (road marking, school area)

Bridge ahead

Stop at check point

Wait for the green light before turning left

Bus lane

All vehicles should not enter bus lane

Parking space for taxis

Railroad crossing

  1. How to know if there’s a free left turn? In some cases, I was informed that free lefts could be limited by time periods.
